1. What is the profile of a successful person in this program?
This program is designed for leaders and/or aspiring leaders in the health care field. A successful admissions candidate will bring three plus years of health care or management experience. As this is a broad scope, we have seen students from many different areas of the field.
2. What is the focus of the program?
There are three main areas that are woven into each class: management, leadership, and the continuum of care. These dimensions are offered to help students understand the foundational theories that integrate with current and future best practices in health care.
3. How long does the program take to complete?
While this is largely determined by your persistence to complete the program, this Masters Degree is designed to be completed in two years.
4. Will you explain the virtual residencies?
Rather than requiring students to travel to campus, you will have four virtual residencies throughout the whole program. Expect a Saturday afternoon spent online with your classmates and professor using webcams and audio.
5. What is the Action Research Project?
This final project is a customized project geared towards your current work situation and anything you may be facing or trying to accomplish. It is based on the practitioner research model and will have the following components: literary review, IRB proposal, data collection and analysis, and written presentation.
